Vestibular And BAlance Rehabilitation

Does the world around you spin? Is it difficult getting out of bed in the morning because of dizziness? Do you feel un-steady on your feet? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be a candidate for Vestibular Rehabilitation and Balance Therapy.

 

 

Neurologic Disorders

Many people with Neurological Disorders have limited physical therapy benefits through their insurance. Often, it is difficult to leave the home to even get to therapy. Dr. Jen comes to you and provides treatment in your home! She has experience treating persons with Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, and other movement disorders.


Concussion

After a concussion, people can experience a variety of life altering symptoms. Many questions remain unanswered by practitioners who are not specialized in all aspects of concussion and post-concussion symptoms. Dr. Jen is here to help answer those questions, treat within her scope of practice, and refer you to additional providers when needed.


Direct Access

Did you know that most insurance plans do NOT require a physician's prescription for physical therapy? Direct Access is a way to see a healthcare provider NOW- no waiting weeks for an appointment with the doctor to only be told to see a physical therapist. The earlier you receive treatment for your symptoms, the faster you feel better- and everyone deserves the opportunity to feel better!


Dance injury

Dance is a specialized art form that requires specialized background and skills to treat. If you have been unsuccessful with other physical therapists, Dr. Jen may be able to help! Her individualized evaluation  of Dance and other exercise-related injury includes biomechanical assessment as well as education regarding proper alignment. Dr. Jen has been dancing for over 25 years and successfully treating dance-related injuries since 2009.


Professional and Clinical Education

Dr. Jen is an approved educational provider of NeuroCom Systems and Products. In addition, she offers a variety of continuing education courses related to Vestibular Rehabilitation, Outcome Measurement in clinical practice, and integrating complementary modalities such as Yoga and Pilates into Neurologic Rehabilitation.
